How have your political views changed throughout your life?

hi everyone:) I hope you are well!

First I find it important to mention that in my opinion, politics is involved in every aspect of our life and not only in the social organization of a group of people. That is why every experience we live influences our opinions.

I think that my point of view on many issues changed a lot when I was in high school, because before I was in a school that was close to my house and then I changed to one that was two hours away, so I had to make longer journeys and meet more people who had other opinions than mine or knew about issues that I didn’t, which made me question what I believed and look at them from another perspective. This caused me to change some opinions and keep others.

For example being environmentally friendly is a political decision that I had no interest in before, and changing certain habits lessens our negative impact on the earth and also sustains our political stance, such as creating my own cleaning products (toothpaste and deodorant) or switching to a vegetarian diet among many other changes, which do not contribute to the livestock industry which is one of the biggest sources of pollution, and also by not buying mass produced products, I decrease my participation in capitalism which before didn’t interest me enough to do anything about it.

  1. It's amazing how our opinions can change as we interact with other people, these interactions inspire and teach us in subjects we didn't knew before.
